Best Facial Hair Removal For Women

Nobody likes unwanted facial hair, and professional treatments can be quite expensive and inconvenient. Rather than scheduling these appointments, you may be wondering if there’s any way you can handle your facial hair removal more efficiently and on your own schedule. Thankfully, there are several options for safely and efficiently removing facial hair at home whether you want to shave, pluck, or even dissolve your facial hair. In the sections below, we’re going to tell you about some of the most popular and efficient options for removing facial hair from the comfort of your own home. We’ll evaluate each option based on their overall effectiveness, what type of skin they are the most comfortable or effective on, how painful the use or application can be, and several other important factors. By the time we’re done, you’ll be one step closer to removing that unwanted hair from around your lips, chin, eyebrows, or neck.

The first thing to think about when shopping for a facial hair removal tool is what sort of hair you are trying to remove. If you want to take care of thinner hair like peach fuzz, you may look more closely at products that are better suited to remove these types of hair. At the same time, if you’re looking to trim thicker hairs around your eyebrows, for example, there might be a different product that’s better suited for your needs. There are also universal hair-removing options on this list for you to consider that will work for a variety of types of hair and in several different locations on your body.

Another thing to consider is what type of hair-removal experience you want. If you prefer the classic style of shaving, you might look more closely at the electric razors on this list. If you want a closer shave in harder-to-reach areas, perhaps a dermaplaning tool is your best choice. If you don’t like shaving and would rather try an alternative method, you might be most interested in the facial hair removal tool that contains a spring, or even in the cream that dissolves your hair when applied.

Some of the hair removal tools on this list will require some sort of power source. That could be a set of batteries, or a charge from being plugged into the wall. This is not true of each option though - we have several choices for manual options on the list below. If you don’t want to have to worry about making sure your facial hair removal tool is charged before each use, you might want to consider one of these manual options. However, the benefit of electric options is that they can be easier to use, while sometimes putting less pressure on your skin.

Lastly, you’ll want to think about how easy your product is to clean. These facial hair removal tools will get dirty from repeated use, and you’ll want to ensure that you’ll be able to effectively remove hair from each item while keeping it sanitized so that you can protect your skin from germs. Some of these tools are easier to clean than others, so as you shop around, you’ll want to think about how easily (and how often) your tool will need to be cleaned.

faq

Q. How often will I need to use these tools?

A. Typically, these products are recommended for periodic, but not everyday use. If the product is a razor, you may want to determine for yourself how often you’ll use it, depending on how quickly your hair grows and how noticeable it is once it comes in. For a product like a cream, you may want to read the manufacturer’s guidelines for how often it should be applied. Keep in mind that overuse of any product may result in skin damage or irritation.

Q. Are these products recommended for users with sensitive skin?

A. Many of these products are safe for use on sensitive skin. They can be hypo-allergenic, made with non-toxins, and designed to move with the contours of your face and neck to help prevent skin irritation. That said, some of these products will be better for sensitive skin than others, and if we can tell that a product might be a better option for an individual whose skin is more sensitive, we’ll make sure to point that out for you as well.

Popular Reviews

R.E.M Spring Facial Hair Remover

"This device is basically a manual epilator. That being said if you have never used an epilator before or don’t enjoy the eye and nose watering thrill of ripping the facial hairs from your face with reckless abandon then this product may not be for you. Though I’ve used epilators in the past this is DIFFERENT, this isn’t gently shaving or using a light electric lady facial shaver. This is old world, horse and carriage, waist coat and a pocket watch level archaism with the added savagery of facial mutilation.

It is truly a wonderful product. It does it’s job well but my god does it hurt! I imagine that after awhile you just develop the upper lip and chin toughness of the hulk and the pain no longer bothers you. Don’t do it slowly you’ll only prolong the suffering. I would recommend it."

Finishing Touch Flawless Women's Painless Hair Remover

"This product is truly a life changer for me. I have PCOS and one of the side effects is excessive hair growth, which is a huge problem for a woman. I’ve tried so many different things to deal with the hair on my face but nothing has worked like the finishing touch! Normally I use a straight razor to shave my face but it would leave razor burn and took forever to do. With the Finishing touch my face feels so soft and only took about 2 minutes! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone!"

Nad's Facial Hair Removal Cream

"Ok, so I bought this cream and I was scared to use it based on reviews about this cream. I just applied it on my thick hair on my chin and beneath it. I first left it on for 4 mins, it didn't work so I applied it again for 10 mins, my thick chin hair came out so easily..I wasn't disappointed after all ...

I didn't have any burns or red spots. Thank God. If u have a soft skin , please don't leave it on for too long like I did. ..this cream has saved me from scissor cuts ...I will buy another one for my upcoming travel. Thank you Seller and Amazon."

Braun Silk-épil 9 9-890 Facial Hair Removal for Women

"I am so happy with this purchase. Yes, pulling hair out from the root is going to hurt but for me it’s worth every bit of pain. It’s comfortable in my hand and glides so easy on the skin. Super easy to clean too!!! I’m in love love love!!!"

Kitsch Dermaplaning Tool Set

"I love how my face feels and my make up goes on after dermaplaning. I go to a local beauty spa to get it done. With the expense I don’t do it as often as I would love to. A friend of mine said she does her own I thought about trying, but never did. When Covid-19 hit and I was forced to stay home I decided this would an excellent time to try. I found a YouTube video with an “expert” dermaplaner tried different blades from Amazon...this was one of them. Although it wasn’t her favorite of the three she showed it did get the job done. I went to order her favorite which had lots of high reviews, however the low ones and WARNINGS made me skeptical. The blades on it were excellent to the point that it was dangerous...basically a straight razor. One even added she had contacted Amazon to have it removed. I decided for a first timer it wasn’t the one to try. Now for this one....I know I made the right choice. This one doesn’t have the large straight razor edge like the other. To me it’s more of a “safety” edge, but it really removes the hair. The blade is smaller than others I saw which allows you better control for hard areas. I did watch a tutorial YouTube video which I think is needed for newbies like me. Skin prep before and after, the direction, and way you hold the blade I think is key for success. For the money I think this pack is great....I paid $7.99 for a 12 pack. They suggest you can use a several times before disposing of it as long as you use alcohol on it in between. Since you don’t dermaplane that often this pack should last me for quite some time."
